Despite the great ideas that some of you had about the alumni newsletter when we talked last month, I have to be honest and tell you that I do not have time right now to re-vamp/continue it. I am in training at my new job for at least three more weeks, possibly longer, and once I get out on the floor, I will not have time for personal internet activities during my work day. That severely cuts into my game time. I apologize. If anyone else is interested in picking it up, please let me know and I'll help in any way I can.

Well, there is never a dull moment with Fandom. I'm sure many of you were caught up in the craziness this weekend, but as far as I am concerned, we never need to speak of it again.

Sorry I didn't email you all last month - I was really busy with classes and Thanksgiving and all that.

Unfortunately, I have some sad news to report. Peter Petrelli, Class of 2009, passed away in November. There were no public services and the family has released the following statement: "Due to the untimely passing of his brother, Peter, Nathan Petrelli has conceeded his Congressional seat. The family asks for their privacy to be respected at this time." Condolences to all of Peter's friends.

Birthdays and Anniversaries!
Romeo celebrated his birthday with Dojima!

Jamie purchased a storefront for his Turtle and Canary squishee stand!
Jaye is attending Brown University!
Billy took a leave of absence from college.
Adam is taking classes.

Lana spent the holiday with Shawn in Seattle.
Jamie attempted to cook Thanksgiving dinner in Sunagakure.

Fandom Goodness
Alumni and former Fandomites spent a fun four days in Anaheim, California, taking Disneyland by storm. By nature of being a Fandom trip, many alums also got to meet their potential future offspring. Included in the madness were: Mike Cannon, Piper Halliwell, Chris Halliwell and Summer Roberts, Bel, Wyatt Halliwel, Dojima Yurika, Lana Lang, Phoebe Halliwell, Isabel Evans, Tori Hanson, Lee Adama, Gavin Darklighter, Johnny Storm, Peter Parker, and Logan Echolls. John Connor and Jamie Madrox were both lucky enough to not have kids show up. Bridge Carson did not attend but got a phone call from a kid. No word on who the other parent was since Xander didn't attend either.

Happy September fellow alums/ex-pats!

We are once again changing the format of the monthly activity checks thanks to suggestions in the Open Forum.

Beginning with September's activity check, the post to drop your links will go up on the first of the month and be linked on the community's userinfo page and sidebar for easy navigation. That way, when you have your alum out and active, you can drop a link in the post and not have to worry about digging it up later.

I am going to be posting two activity check posts today. One for August (please drop your links by this Sunday, September 6th) and one for September.

Additionally, I'm going to ask you to let me know if the activity you link can be included in a monthly alumni newsletter since there has been interest expressed in having one.

After another challenging scheduling conflict, So You Want to Be the Nation's Next Top Model was back on the air with another fierce episode! In this episode, watch as the models stomp the runway in a clothes designed by fashion students in a challenge that wasn't at all inspired by Project Runway, really, and then pose in another high quality photoshoot! Who has what it takes to be on top? And who...will be sent. home?
